It’s that time of year again… I’ve been busy painting tiny little paintings for an exhibit next month entitled Visitekaartjes (Calling Cards). The size limit for these is 122 cm², which translates to 9×13 cm for a rectangle (for the metric impaired, that’s about 3.5×5.1 inches). I do like painting small, but this is quite a challenge!
For subject matter, I’ve chosen a mix of some Dutch subjects that may appeal to the visitors at Galerie Paterswolde as well as a few scenes from farther afield. After all, I’ve made my home in many different places, and have visited many more. I think my work should reflect that.
I’ll get on the bus tomorrow to deliver my paintings to the gallery, and will post further details about the exhibit next week.
Stay tuned…
