On Saturday, October 14th, I gave a workshop Landscape in Watercolor for eight enthusiastic watercolor students at Atelier AquarEllen in the idyllic village of Zwiggelte. The weather cooperated beautifully and we enjoyed Ellen’s lovely lunch in the garden. Everyone worked hard and learned a lot, which was very rewarding for me.
This is the demo I painted that day. I’ve just now gotten around to taking a proper photograph of it and would like to share that with you. It’s watercolor on Millford (St. Cuthberts Mill), appr. 26×36 cm or 10×14 inches. The subject is one I’ve painted before, a view of the stream called Deurzerdiep in early autumn. I think the fall colors in this subject really resonated with the participants, as we are now in that time of year again.
If you think you’d like to take a workshop with me one day, please sign up for my newsletter (you can do so right below this post) for future announcements.
