We gaan serieus, maar ook gezellig, aan de slag met het onderwerp stadsgezichten. Aquarel is bij uitstek geschikt om het vlotte, fleurige stadsleven vast te leggen. Hoe je dat aanpakt leer je in deze workshop, onder het genot van koffie/thee en een heerlijke lunch, verzorgd door Atelier AquarEllen in Zwiggelte.

Spring is here, and I think we’re all ready for it – at least those of us in the northern hemisphere. When I posted my last few snow paintings on Facebook a couple of weeks ago, I noticed a certain winter fatigue in the comments…
Recently a Facebook friend commented on a photo I had posted of a building near my home in the process of being torn down. She suggested it would make a good painting subject. I had not really considered that, because although I’m drawn to images of buildings in a state of decay or destruction, it didn’t seem like the kind of subject people like to see in a watercolor. Urban decay is big with photographers, but less so with painters. Still, I decided to give it a go. Here are the three versions using different media and substrates. If you have an opinion about these, I’d love to hear it.
